Our trip begins from Auckland city on your arrival in New Zealand with a tour of the city highlights and then relax in a premium central city hotel. Visiting the gourmet centre of the North Island in Matakana you will experience fresh local produce, boutique villages all the while enjoying the beautiful Matakana coastline.
South to Rotorua, it is known for its spectacular geothermal region and Maori culture, you will be whisked away on a helicopter flight and land high up on Mt Tarawera a now dormant volcano. Experience the cultural and geothermal wonders of this region with a tour of the famous mud pools, soak in the rejuvenating spas and experience a traditional Maori Hangi and cultural performance.
Our North Island leg of this tour finishes in the vibrant town of Lake Taupo, with a thrilling jet boat ride up to the mighty Huka falls. Lake Taupo is known for its beautiful lake, volcanic zone, walkways, golf courses, fishing, boating, biking, arts and culture….
Day 6 – 14
We board our flight to Christchurch and begin the South Island leg of our holiday in the very French town of Akaroa. Originally settled by French immigrants in the 1870’s it is now home to some of the worlds smallest and rarest Hector dolphins. While you’re here, you have to try the very best fish and chips in the world!
We carry onto Lake Tekapo,a glacial fed lake distinguished by its sparkling turquoise colour, created by tiny particles of mica suspended in the water. A visit to this region would not be complete without a stop in at Aoraki Mount Cook village. Located in the heart of the Aoraki Mount Cook National Park you will board a small cruise boat and explore the giant floating icebergs of Lake Tasman, set amongst towering mountains, this region is truly spectacular.
Further south we reach the adventure capital of New Zealand, Queenstown, famous for its bungy jumping, magnificent mountains, and beautiful lakes. A region where you can relax or shop, skydive from a plane, take a wilderness safari, golf to your hearts content or sample some of New Zealands best Pinot Noir.
To the West Coast and glacier country, where age old glaciers live amongst sub tropical rain forest only kilometres from the sea. View these magnificent glaciers up close on your guided Heli-Hike experience and kiwi encounter. For those wanting to experience the jewel of the South Island, we carry on north to Punakaiki and Abel Tasman National Park. Golden sands stretch for miles, where you can walk, kayak, and experience pure relaxation. On the final leg of our tour, we pass through the beautiful coastal town of Kaikoura where you will have the opportunity to see giant sperm whales, fur seals, and other spectacular marine life during your whale watching boat tour, before returning to Christchurch.
This is New Zealand, experience it for yourself.
